Too Many Lulu Bags Lying Around Your House? Here's An Idea...
An idea lulu fanatics will love - a shower curtain made from all those lulu shopper totes cluttering up your home. Thanks to Ana for this neat idea!

I roll up the small bag from side to side then stuff my boots with one. My boots stand up nice and straight in the closest and don't bend at the ankle. I keep the bags handles facing up so I can pull the bag out nice.
Have you guys seen the new large Lulu bag that says "poser" on it? Fun.
Man, those black bags stink, though. I got one in the mail from Lulu with an item, and the clothing stank like toxins. Well....it probably is toxins. I feel bad for the workers who have to assemble these bags.
i use mine for groceries, library books etc. we have to pay for the plastic bags so its more of a bonus with my web orders. i was using them so boring...just as bags!
i am getting quite a huge quantity of them and i think the shower curtain is great! kudos for finding such a unique use for them. i admire those who are 'crafty' like this, i would never have thought of it.
anyone else have any great ideas...its not hard to beat my using bags as bags lol!
I use my bags as gift bags, bags to store stuff on my closet shelf (they're all uniform, and neatly lined up-yes, a little OCD), lunch bags, boot stuffers, wrapping paper....but I think it's hard to beat the shower curtain idea. I envy people who are that creative!
I have the poser bag, and the run, run bag. These don't stink, but I though the white ones were the worst.
I'm all for creativity but something as obvious/out there like that is just creepy! What's next? Curtains? A bed spread? Wallpapering with--insert shoe brand here--shoe boxes? I love the great Lululemon GEAR and how it performs, I do not need to decorate my house with it.
i am interested in the smell issues with the bags, i do not have the black one mentioned however. with the bags i have, i have not noticed any odor. i suppose i should do some research as to what the bags are made of as i had not thought about it at all. i do have some 'fabric' bags i use often for groceries, perhaps carrying my own is better than getting the bags sent out with my order...can you request no bags with online ordering?
I wish they would ask if you wanted cup inserts or not. I actually do use then, and it seem so wasteful to call and ask a set to be shipped separately. I think a check box would be perfect for this as well.
I'm moving right now and my bag collection is coming in handy for packing random kitchen/ bathroom stuff. Also great for groceries, packed lunches for work and carrying stuff to and from the gym (since I don't have a gym bag). They're quite sturdy and I actually get a lot of use out of them!
Happy Mother's Day - !! My hubbie and son got me the new Surf and Tote bag -- it is AWESOME - waterproof on the outside with a removable bag that snaps in on the inside. The inside bag has compartments and a zipper -- super cute for water-events this summer. Thanks to my beautiful family!!
I am the maker of the curtains. I didn't do this to decorate my house with it. It was meant to be a welcome fun surprise for a few lulu lovers. It's not staying up. Thank you.
For shame at the negativity - I think it's incredibly clever and am curious as to how you attached them all together (stitches, sewing machine type, perhaps glue?) Boo to all the Negative Nellies being critical of something that's obviously meant to be lighthearted ;-)
I think that the idea of the cup inserts in a checkbox is great, i used the cups too and i have to send a mail to request that and they send me a special package, i think is a waste of time and money for lululemon, and it's easier if in any tank shopping they ask for the cups insert.
This is such a cute idea and a fun surprise for other Lulu lovers - not creepy at all and whoever said that (anonymously, of course) needs to calm down.
And even if this was your everyday shower curtain ... who cares? It's cute and it's upcycling bags that might otherwise go unused!
I love the durability of the Lulu bags...I travel for work and they've come in handy more than a few times. I probably wouldn't decorate with them simply because I'm ashamed at the sheer number of bags I've accumulated in less than a year...hahaha! Neat idea though, and I'm all about upcycling. :) The bags would also make a great backing to an outdoor blanket! I too am jealous of your craftiness...I have a sewing machine that I have no idea how to use!
I saw on the Gilroy outlet webpage that the lulu outlet is due to open around 1 June. I haven't checked the website in several weeks but that's what it said last month sometime. I'm moving out of the area at the end of this month so I'm a little disappointed they aren't opening earlier haha
@Kuomei. Super cool job, and from the picture, I can see that is was very well executed. :) I can't sew to safe my life, (except buttons!) But I really can appreciate the handiwork of those who could. @ DebbieTurko. Send the picture of the doogie raincoat to LLA. Her email address is up here somewhere on th right side. We all want to see it!
@kuomei it's a fantastic idea and beautifully done. I suspect a little jealousy of creatuvity out there. You've now inspired me to do something similar with a picnic blanket: existing blanket, beautifully stitched bags, hey presto waterproof summer picnics
My daughter is getting her first apartment and I think this shower curtain would so much cuter than anything I have seen on the market. I would love to get directions on how to make it and surprise her, especially since she is the one who got us hooked on lululemon
Thanks everyone for your kind comments! I've been out of town and am planning to put together a step-by-step of how I put it together and will let LLA know once it's ready. The good news, there was no sewing involved. The bad news, it took a good 10 hours so it's not a simple project :)

Fantastic idea!!!
Recycling at its finest! Too bad I have a shower stall so don't need a curtain. Love the idea though (and Ana's cabinet there too).
Cool idea! I, too, have shower doors. So for now the pile keeps growing, lol.
Haha classic!! LOVE
I think I could make about 80 shower curtains with all the bags I've accumulated!! And that's low-balling it....
Freakin awesome. Love it! And love the walls in the bathroom. They look like small silver tiles. Not sure.
That is very cool! Now women everywhere just have to convince their boyfriends/husbands to let them put it in their bathrooms! At least I know I do...

Love the boot-stuffer idea.

Just bring your old bag to the store so you don't have them piling up.

I wish they would go back to marking the box if you wanted your order bagged.

great idea, but not for me. with my lulu spending habits this curtain will be to my husband like a "red rug to the bull"
Does anybody knows when is the Lulu Gilroy, Ca Outlet gonna open up?

I've been waiting for WU's in porcelain color to appear in my local store but, no luck? They arent available online niether,,, what's up with that? :(
@ Kuomei:
I thought that was brilliant idea! If only I was creative like you I will do the same thing with all of my accumulated Lulu bags that I have.
For shame at the negativity - I think it's incredibly clever and am curious as to how you attached them all together (stitches, sewing machine type, perhaps glue?)
Boo to all the Negative Nellies being critical of something that's obviously meant to be lighthearted ;-)
Negative bitches!
Woah...negativity. I'm loving the creativity...maybe I can use some in my upcoming tshirts quilt project....lululemon blanket...possibilities
I think is a brilliant idea! And for the negative comments i think that if you don't have a nice thing to say, it's better say nothing.

@kuomei that's adorable! HAhaha call lulu and tell them about it! Or your local yoga studio I'm sure would love to have it! You are sooooo creative!
Good job! :)
I am thinking of making a rain jacket for my chihuahua out of a bag since lulu doesn't make dog clothing lol

I love the idea for the little raincoat for doggies!
@ Kuomei - don't let PMSing trolls bring you down. It's a fun idea and well-executed. I am jealous of your crafting skills. ;-)
Brilliant. I thought a tablecloth for a picnic table would also be a good idea. Good work
I think this a creative and fun project for anyone...don't see why Anon May 12, 2012 6:58 PM needs to bring the haterade to the lulu party.
@Kuomei, I am dying to know how you made it!
@ Kuomei,
Love, love it. It is great. And all of us Lulu lovers appreciate it. What a cool idea.
@ DebbieTurko,
You MUST post a pic of the raincoat for your dog once you finish it. How cute and fun!!!!

how do you put a picture on here ?
